VILNIUS – With just two months to go before elections, the Conservatives and the Liberal and Center Union appear prepared to cooperate in an effort to rally right-wing forces and possibly siphon votes away from the extremely popular Labor Party.

The council of the oppositional Conservatives party on Saturday chose to cooperate closer with the Liberal and Center Union.
According to the party's press service, the decision was approved on condition that the Liberal Centrists not make any agreements with the Labor Party, which based on polls seems certain to win the October ballot.
