Monumental error

I take exception to Aleksei Gunter's description of Estonian Colonel Alfons Rebane as a "Nazi Colonel" (TBT #411 "Monumental Needs and Rethinking Estonia's Past"). This description implies that he was a member of the Nazi Party. What Nazi Party?

As far as I am aware, there was no Nazi Party in Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania, nor can I believe that he was a member of the German Nazi Party. Do we really need sloppy reporting such as this in The Baltic Times? It's very unhelpful for those trying to obtain a true picture of wartime events in the Baltic states. I can understand something like this appearing in the yellow press, but this article purported to be a "balanced" account of Estonia's difficulties with monuments commemorating either of the warring factions during the World War II.
