More than half of Swedes would like the country to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games together with the Latvian town of Sigulda, according to a new poll released in Sweden.
According to the nationwide poll released at the end of the five-day International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission visit to Sweden, 55 percent are in favor of Stockholm 2026 staging the Games with only 17 percent against.
In the Stockholm-only poll, the figures were almost identical with 54 percent for and 17 percent against.
