VILNIUS – Vaccination against the coronavirus might become mandatory for certain professions in Lithuania in the fall, Health Minister Arunas Dulkys says.
"For the (parliament's – BNS) fall session, we will be getting ready for a discussion on introducing mandatory vaccination for certain activities," Dulkys told journalists after an informal Cabinet meeting on Monday.
First of all, the requirement would apply to medics and care home workers, he aid.
Also in the fall, decisions might be expected that employers or employees themselves should pay for mandatory regular tests. Moreover, there are plans to expand the list of professions where such tests are required.
