Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, claims that Latvia and Estonia are violating the rights of employees from the Foundation For Supporting and Defending the Rights of Russians Living Abroad.

The official Kremlin line is that both Baltic countries are refusing entry to Russian-speaking employees of the foundation to their territories.

"We are seriously concerned about the fact that the Latvian and Estonian authorities are taking steps toward barring a number of employees of the foundation from entering their territories,” said Lavrov at a meeting of the organisation in Moscow. “Besides, Ukraine has started to freeze the assets of the foundation.”

Moscow will be working to "eliminate these and any other manifestations of discrimination," he concluded.
