Latvian Security Police to look into MEP’s complaint about Riga mayor’s tweet

The complaint that Latvian MEP Inese Vaidere sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office about a cartoon that the Mayor of Riga, Nils Usakovs, had recently posted on Twitter has been forwarded to the Security Police. Usakovs, the leader of the leftist pro-Russia Harmony party, posted on Twitter a cartoon showing a cyclist, who deliberately trips himself up and then demands a compensation of  185 billion  euro or the exact amount estimated as the damages to the Latvian economy from the Soviet occupation.
