Latvian football team drops EURO 2020 qualifier to Slovenia

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia) - The Latvian football team lost a EURO 2020 qualifier to Slovenia last night 0:1.

Igors Tarasovs scored on own goal for the only goal of the match.

Latvia had lost all chance of qualifying for the tournament way before last night's match and even if it wins its final qualifier against Austria next week, it will finish in last place in its qualification group.

Latvia will host Austria at the Daugava Stadium in Riga on Tuesday.

The Latvian team has not won a match in 17 matches in a row.
