SALZBURG (Austria) - In a EURO 2020 qualifier last night, the Latvian national football team lost to Austria 0:6.

This was a repeat of Latvia's most crushing defeat since the restoration of independence, when Latvia lost to the Netherlands 0:6 five years ago.

Latvia has not won 13 matches in a row (including friendlies).

In the Group G standings at the moment, Poland is in first place with 12 points, followed by Austria with nine points, Israel and Slovenia with 7 points a piece, North Macedonia with five points, and Latvia with zero points.

Latvia will play its next qualifier on Monday at home against North Macedonia.
