Latvia's Dons gets into Eurovision final

RIGA - Latvian singer Dons with his song Hollow on Thursday qualified for the final of the Eurovision song contest that will be held in Malmo, Sweden.

The last time Latvia qualified for the Eurovision final was in 2016 with Justs performing song Heartbeat. In 2015, Aminata with Love Injected won the 6th place.

Looking even more back, in 2000 Brainstorm with My star won the 3rd place, and in 2001, Arnis Mednis with Too Much got the 18th position.

Latvia's triumph was in 2002 when Marija Naumova with I Wanna got the first place in the Eurovision song contest.

The final of the Eurovision will be held on May 11.
