Latvia has donated more than one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to third countries by end-May

RIGA - Latvia has donated more than a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to third countries by 31, LETA found out from the National Health Service.

To date, Latvia has donated the Vaxzevria vaccine the most - a total of 452,400 doses of the vaccine.

Of these, 64,200 doses of this vaccine were donated to Tunisia, 115,000 to Egypt, 80,000 to Benin, 55,200 to Kenya, 30,000 to Albania and 30,000 to Vietnam. Also, 48,000 doses of this vaccine were donated to the COVAX facility.

By the end of May, Latvia has donated 83,070 doses of the Comirnaty vaccine, developed by Pfizer / BioNTech, to Georgia, 5,000 doses of Nuvaxovid to the University of Oxford, and donated 492,000 doses of the Janssen, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, to COVAX.
