RIGA — Latvia’s largest sweets maker Laima has invested EUR 1.77 million in technological upgrades of candy production, said Dana Ercina-Uzane, the spokeswoman for NP Foods group, to which Laima belongs.
She said that under the European Regional Development Fund project, Laima has invested EUR 1.24 million in Denmark-made candy production line and EUR 535,000 in German-made packaging line. Upgrades of technological processes will allow Laima to improve operations, develop new products and increase export.
