Kontaveit reaches 3rd round at US Open

TALLINN - Estonia's highest ranked tennis player Anett Kontaveit, WTA No 21, moved into the third round of the US Open by defeating Australian player Ajla Tomljanovic, WTA No 47, on Thursday, Postimees reported.

The Estonian lost the opening set 4-6 but was victorious 7-5, 6-2 in the second and third sets.
