BUCHAREST - Latvia's Rebeka Koha won the European U-23 Weightlifting Championship in Romania on Monday.
In the women's 59-kilogram category, Koha placed first in both snatch and clean and jerk, lifting 100 kilograms in snatch and 119 kilograms in clean and jerk.
Koha won the gold medal with a total of 219 kilograms. Russia's Olga Te took silver with 209 kilograms, while Romania's Florina Hulpan placed third with 207 kilograms.
As reported, earlier this year Koha finished in eighth place at the World Weightlifting Championship, while this past April she won the European Championship for the second time in a row.
