TALLINN - Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry Erkki Keldo, visiting Poland from Wednesday to Friday with a business delegation, stated ahead of a conference on Ukrainian reconstruction that it is both an opportunity and a duty for Estonia to contribute its knowledge and skills to rebuilding the country.

During the conference, Keldo will speak on a panel, meet with Polish and Ukrainian ministers, participate in an Estonian-Polish business seminar, and meet with the international Ukrainian business community.

"Estonia will continue to invest in reconstruction projects, and I encourage our private sector and international supporters to join in. Together, we can help rebuild Ukraine's economy, create new jobs, and provide hope for the future. Estonian companies have already contributed to building infrastructure and residential buildings, and the Estonian economy also benefits from this," Keldo said.

Estonia has identified its key business sectors for Ukraine's reconstruction based on the country's needs and the capabilities of Estonian companies: ICT/cyber, the defense industry, and energy.

In Poland, Minister Keldo is scheduled to meet with Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański and Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun, as well as Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev, Minister for Strategic Industries Anna Gvozdiar, and Minister of Energy Resources Svitlana Grynchuk. Additionally, the minister will deliver a speech on the main stage of the conference and participate in a panel discussion with ministers from Scotland and Ukraine, along with representatives from agencies involved in Ukraine's reconstruction.

During the visit, the minister will attend the Estonian-Polish business seminar and meet with members of the international Ukrainian business community. He will also participate in an investment seminar to help Estonian companies establish contacts with Ukrainian and Polish businesses.

The minister will also witness the signing of a letter of intent between Estonia's Baltic Ghost Center of Excellence, a center for training and innovation in unmanned aerial vehicles and dual-use technologies, and the Polish Development Holding (PHR). Furthermore, a separate letter of intent will be signed by the Estonian defense company Frankenburg and PGZ, the Polish state-owned defense holding company.
