In addition to being the European green capital, Tallinn will also be the capital of green technology of the world in November 13-17. The most innovative ideas from Europe, Asia and the United States will be hosted within the framework of the international technology event NEXPO Tallinn.
"The European Green Capital Year gave us the push to bring a green technology event and one of Europe's most important green technology forums to Estonia," said Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart. He added that organizing the event creates an opportunity for Estonian green technology companies to present their ideas to specialists in the field, investors and the public sector. "We help both Tallinn and other Estonian companies reach the right people and get additional investments in the field of green technology," he concluded.
NEXPO Tallinn is part of the Greentech Week program and within the week five events will take place in the European Green capital. The main goal is to promote cooperation between green technology specialists and dialogue between European cities and companies. "We want to show Tallinn as a meeting place in the field of green innovation and technology, bringing together companies, academic institutions and cities involved in green innovation and presenting the brightest achievements in the field to the wider public," said NEXPO Tallinn project manager Andres Kask. He added that world-class sustainable green technologies and solutions will be presented to the public at the exhibition, which can be seen and experienced by both specialists and citizens.
Tallinn green technologies event NEXPO will be held from 14 to 17 November. At the event, you can see the technological developments that will be offered to us in the coming years. Together with the organizers, an educational program will be put together so that all Tallinn residents can expand their horizons.
Cleantech Forum Europe will take place on 14-16 November. Cleantech forums are one of a kind and the longest running innovation events in the world. Since 2002, the events have brought together the most influential innovation leaders in cleantech - business leaders, CEOs of start-ups and growth companies, investors, government agencies and other actors from all areas of resource innovation. More than 40 forums have been organized so far. There are 3 Cleantech Forums every year, one in San Francisco, one in Europe and one in Asia.
GreenEST Summit 2023 will be held on November 13 at the Cruise Terminal in Tallinn, as the opening event of Tallinn Greentech Week. It is the largest green technology conference in the region and will celebrate its 6th anniversary in 2023! Over 400 participants are expected at the event, including public and private sector experts, green technology entrepreneurs and investors from across Europe. In addition to inspiring speakers, there will be engaging panel discussions.
The Smart City Convention will take place on the 14-15th of November. Smart Cities Convention is a two-day event in cooperation with the FinEst Smart City Center of Excellence, two-day event that brings together city delegations from all over the world. The main focus of the Tallinn Smart City convention is to discuss the topic of public strategic innovation, the human-centered application of smart city tools, and linking the public and private sectors. The conference focuses on the main theme of Tallinn Nexpo 2023 - mobility.
The Green Tiger Conference will take place on November 17. The purpose of the conference is to bring examples of future economic models from other parts of the world and to encourage Estonian decision-makers to conceptualize and implement a balanced economic model.
