Head of Lithuania's Santara Clinics steps down

Kęstutis Strupas, general manager of Santara Clinics, one of the country's largest hospitals, has stepped down on Wednesday, September 19, as the deadline of his dismissal looms. He has managed the hospital since Nov. 10, 2013. Strupas was suspended in February amid a large-scale corruption probe by law enforcement institutions, also involving the clinic's Information and Development Centre director Romualdas Kizlaitis, and several other persons.
