RIGA - Saeima member Aldis Gobzems is urging people to take to the streets on October 10, including to protest against a disproportionate increase in property tax and other matters, according to Gobzems' post on Facebook.

Gobzems says that he will release further information closer to the day of the protest. According to Gobzems, people must protect their country and learn not be fooled anymore.

Gobzems says that people must participate in the protest if they "don't want a property tax that will take everything from you, a prison in Liepaja instead of schools, if you don't want your mobility to be restricted, if banks refuse to open an account for you, if taxes are raised but the public sector is not downsized".

Those people who want to change the country must stop waiting for change because "you are the change".

As reported, Gobzems is planning to found a new political party on November 22.

Last year Gobzems was expelled from the KPV.LV political party.
