Foreigners from 117 countries are beneficial owners of Latvian companies

RIGA - Foreign citizens from 117 countries have been indicated as the actual beneficiaries of Latvian companies, according to information provided by the Register of Enterprises.

The largest number of the actual beneficiaries - about 2,400 - are Russian citizens. Around 2,150 of the beneficial owners of Latvian companies are Lithuanian citizens, and around 1,650 are Estonian citizens.

Citizens of countries such as Tanzania, Togo, Suriname, Sudan and others are also listed as the beneficial owners of companies registered in Latvia.
