I recently returned from a holiday in my native country of America, where I enjoyed two weeks of almost interrupted sunshine, a baseball game (my beloved Chicago Cubs lost that game, but are in first place in their division, which suggests that perhaps this year, for the first time in my lifetime, they may actually go on to win the World Series), lots of beer, lots of books to read.
