Five European presidents to meet in Warsaw to discuss measures to stop war in Ukraine

VILNIUS – With Russia pressing on with its military invasion of Ukraine, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda will on Tuesday travel to Poland for a working visit to meet with the leaders of four countries and discuss measures to stop the war.

The Lithuanian president, Polish President Andrzej Duda, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Latvian President Egils Levits and Estonian President Alar Karis will also talk about additional sanctions against Russia, as well as further defense, humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukraine.

They would also address the security situation in the region and the strengthening of NATO's eastern flank, the Lithuanian presidential office said in a press release.
