Factory-built homes from Latvia bring speed and certainty to Polish real estate

MyCabin, a Latvian manufacturer of prefab homes, is continuing its growth strategy by responding to the increasing housing demand across Europe and expanding its regional representation network and delivery in Poland – a country currently experiencing one of the most pronounced housing shortages and fastest-growing property prices in the region.

The company observes that demand for compact, energy-efficient single-family homes continues to grow. Moreover, an increasing number of buyers are looking to relocate to suburban areas or smaller towns, where long-lasting, quick-to-assemble, and environmentally responsible homes are especially suitable.

“Poland has historically faced a shortage of several million homes – a situation that continues to put pressure on buyers and government alike. Construction materials and labour are expensive, the building process is lengthy, and bureaucratic procedures are burdensome. We saw an opportunity to enter the market with a fixed-value product – a fully finished home, delivered at a clear price and on a set timeline. Since we have managed to standardise and optimise our production process, MyCabin homes are perfectly suited to the needs of today’s market – both for everyday living and as holiday homes. I believe that factory-built housing will become a global standard,” says Ģirts Draugs, Founder and CEO of MyCabin.

As in other export markets, MyCabin has invested in establishing a strong local presence in Poland. The company has already set up a “Milla 40” demo house in Emów, near Warsaw, and assembled a dedicated local sales and customer support team. This infrastructure is part of MyCabin’s expanding regional representation and logistics system, providing full-cycle support – from choosing and customising a house model to final delivery and on-site installation.

All MyCabin homes are fully assembled at the company’s production facility in Latvia and can be installed on-site in just one day, significantly reducing client-side risks and time commitments compared to traditional construction.

Szymon Dąbrowski, MyCabin’s representative in Poland, said, “Polish homebuyers are tired of the uncertainty in this segment – a fixed, transparent price and a fully completed home within 2–3 months are the reasons why our offer stands out. Trust is further reinforced by the fact that Latvia is widely perceived as a strong quality label in the timber construction industry.”
