TALLINN - Valdis Dombrovskis, European commissioner for economy and productivity, will arrive in Estonia for a two-day visit on Sunday.
On Sunday, Dombrovskis will meet with representatives of Rail Baltic Estonia and visit the Ülemiste terminal. On Monday, he will deliver a keynote speech at the digital euro conference organized by the Bank of Estonia and will meet with Finance Minister Jürgen Ligi and central bank governor Madis Müller, as well as visit the company Bolt.
On Monday, Dombrovskis will also meet with Prime Minister Kristen Michal. The meeting will focus on possibilities for simplifying EU legislation, the impact of the digital euro on the continuity of financial services, the development of the new EU long-term budget framework, and the use of Russia’s frozen assets within the European Union.
Before meeting with the prime minister, the commissioner will also participate in a session of the economic growth council, an initiative launched by Michal. The council will discuss possibilities for simplifying EU legislation.
