European Commission approved EUR 2 billion pre-funding from Brexit adjustment reserve for 12 member states

RIGA - The European Commission has made a decision to allocate more than EUR 1 billion euros from the Brexit adjustment reserve to 12 member states, LETA learned from the European Commission's representation in Latvia.

Of the amount allocated to the member states, EUR 819.2 million will be allocated by the end of March, and the rest - by April 2023.

Brexit has had a negative impact on all member states, but to varying degrees on some member states, regions, sectors or local communities more than others. 

Latvia this year will receive EUR 2.59 million and in 2023 - EUR 2.65 million.
