Estonian president signs tax amendments into law

TALLINN – Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid promulgated the new governing coalition's package of tax amendments despite interest groups' opposition, as well as the 2017 State Budget Act, on Friday. “My position is that if I did not promulgate this law I would interfere in fiscal policy to an extent to which I have no right under the Constitution,” the president said in a press release.
