TALLINN - Police in Estonia on election day on Sunday received a total of 36 notices of possible violations linked to elections.

Marili Kohava, leading law enforcement officer at the Police and Border Guard Board, said that the officers on election day on October 15 received a total of 36 notices and inquiries of possible violations that were linked to the elections.

Kohava said that there were no serious incidents at polling stations or in the vicinity of them that required police interference. She brought as an example an incident in which a polling station within the jurisdiction of the North prefecture required police help as the work of the polling station was disturbed by a party of young people who made noise and played music nearby.
