Estonian PM in Georgia for Eastern Partnership 10th anniversary conference

TBILISI - Estonian Prime Minister Juri Ratas is in Georgia on Wednesday and Thursday to attend an international conference marking the tenth anniversary of the European Union's Eastern Partnership (EP). 

The conference, held in the city of Batumi on Thursday and Friday, will be attended by delegates from several European Union member states and Eastern Partnership nations, including eight ministers of foreign affairs, spokespeople for the Georgian Foreign Ministry told journalists on Wednesday according to Interfax new agency.

European Council President Donald Tusk arrived in Georgia on Wednesday evening. At Batumi's international airport Tusk was welcomed by Foreign Minister David Zalkalania and Adjara governor Tornike Rizhvadze.

Participants in the conference are about to sign a host of financial agreements, including two EU-Georgia agreements on an allocation of up to 47 million euros in aid for Georgia.
