TALLINN - The Estonian men's national basketball team won the Baltic Way Tournament hosted in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Estonian basketball by beating Latvia 84-67 (24-9, 12-21, 24-18, 24-19) on Sunday, the online sports news portal of public broadcaster ERR reports.
The Estonian team began the tournament with a historic win on Friday, defeating Lithuania for the first time since the restoration of independence in the Baltic states and winning 92-85.
The most successful Estonian scorer in Sunday's game was Henri Drell with 16 points. Team captain Siim-Sander Vene tallied 15 points and Janari Joesaar 10.
Latvia's best was Arturs Ausejs with 18 points.
