Estonian govt abolishes special pensions without offering substitute

TALLINN - Although Minister of Social Protection Margus Tsahkna proposed to the government to eliminate special pensions and to offer the categories of state employees eligible to them now third pillar payments instead, the government decided on Thursday to simply abolish special pensions without establishing an alternative incentive system.
