TALLINN – Estonian Aleksandr Selevko won a small bronze medal with a personal best in the men's short program at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania on Wednesday evening and will continue to compete in the free skate from that position.
Selevko scored 90.05 points from the judges. His previous best was 83.58, nearly seven points lower. After the short program, Adam Siao Him Fa of France leads with 94.13 points and Lukas Britschgi of Switzerland is second with 91.17.
Aleksandr Selevko's brother Mihhail Selevko fell in the short program and several of his jumps failed. With a point score of 60.09, he failed to advance to the free skate.
