Estonian court puts store robbing gang behind bars

TALLINN - The Harju County Court last Monday meted out stiff prison sentences to a gang that robbed stores in the Estonian capital Tallinn, causing hundreds of thousands of euros of damage. Stanislav, 27, was sentenced to eight years, Valeri, 46, to four years and six months, Andrei, 43, to seven years, and Juri, 44, to six years behind bars. The 44-year-old Andrei got away with the lightest punishment as only four months of his five-year sentence was real imprisonment and the rest conditional with one year probation.
