Estonian court gives long sentences to intl drug gang leaders

A first-tier court in Estonia yesterday handed out long sentences to two leaders of a group involved with bringing almost five kilograms of amphetamine and over 10,000 ecstasy tablets from the Netherlands to Estonia. The Harju county court sentenced Ahmed-Aga Gasimov, who masterminded the criminal operation, to 10 years and his partner Andrei Jelin to six years in prison. The seven couriers and other helpers who were tried received partly conditional sentences spanning from three to six years. Additionally, the court confiscated more than 21,000 euros of criminal profits....
