Estonian cbank seeking design for collector coin for Olympic Games in Paris

TALLINN - The Bank of Estonia is announcing a competition to design a silver collector coin dedicated to the Estonian athletes at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Designs can be submitted for the competition until noon on March 10. The coin will be issued in summer 2024.

The central bank will issue the silver collector coin with a nominal value of 10 euros dedicated to the Estonian athletes attending the games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris in summer 2024. The Bank of Estonia has a long tradition of issuing collector coins for the Olympics, going back to 1992. The central bank has previously issued 12 Olympic coins.

Individuals and groups of designers are welcome to participate in the design competition, and designers may submit multiple designs to each competition. Designs should be sent to the Bank of Estonia by noon on March 10, 2023, at the latest. The results of the competition will be announced by the central bank in June 2023 at the latest.

The prize for the winner of the design competition is 2,500 euros, with the second placed design receiving 1,500 and the third placed 1,000 euros.
