TALLINN - Estonian President Alar Karis had a phone conversation with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb on Friday on how to better safeguard Baltic Sea infrastructure.

"Estonia and Finland will cooperate closely to ensure effective solutions to shared security concerns affecting the Baltic Sea," Karis wrote on social media.

Reacting in a post on X to the rupture of a submarine power cable between Finland and Estonia the previous day, Stubb on Thursday called for ruling out the risks posed by Russian shadow fleet vessels.
