Estonia's Magnus Kirt takes silver in Doha

TALLINN - Estonian Magnus Kirt took the javelin silver medal on the final day of the world track championships in Doha on Sunday. 

Kirt, who threw 88.36 in the qualification, had to retire after his fifth throw in the finals with 86.21 as his best after injuring his left shoulder. Nobody could knock him out of second place in the final round. 

Anderson Peters from Grenada won the competition with a better pitch of 86.89. Johannes Vetter won bronze for Germany with 85.37.
