TALLINN - The number of coronavirus victims rose to four in Estonia after a man, aged 90, who had tested positive for the coronavirus, died at East-Viru Central Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.
A total of 1,149 coronavirus test results came in from Sunday to Monday, of which 30 or 3 percent were positive, the Estonian Health Board said.
Of the people whose positive test return was registered during the period, 10 are residents of Harju County and Tallinn, six of Saaremaa island, three of East-Viru County, and two each of Parnu County, Rapla County and Tartu County and Voru County. In West-Viru County, Hiiumaa island and Valga County each one case was added.
In total 12,401 tests have been carried out in Estonia, and 745 or six percent of them have returned a positive result. People aged 45-49 and 50-54 account for 11 percent each among those infected and people aged 35-39 and 55-59 for 10 percent each.
As of Monday evening, 91 patients with coronavirus were undergoing treatment in hospital. 13 of the patients being treated in intensive care require mechanical ventilation. 26 patients have recovered from the illness and four patients have died.
