Estonia and Latvia discuss cooperation and regional security

TALLINN - Martin Roger, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in a seminar for the leadership of the Estonian and Latvian foreign ministries on Thursday and Friday, focusing on bilateral cooperation, common foreign policy objectives, and regional security.

According to Roger, as close neighbors and allies, Estonia and Latvia are united by common interests and goals. Both countries stand firmly with Ukraine, work to make Russia pay a higher price for its aggression, and are jointly strengthening regional security. In the current security situation, the close cooperation and unified voice of the two nations in Europe are more important than ever.

Cooperation between Estonia and Latvia is close and multifaceted, ranging from security and defense to economic and cross-border collaboration. As part of the seminar, the leadership of both foreign ministries visited the Kuperjanov military campus of the 2nd Infantry Brigade, where representatives of the Kuperjanov Infantry Battalion provided an overview of the unit's activities and responsibilities.

This was the eleventh joint seminar for the leadership of the Estonian and Latvian foreign ministries.
