Two summers ago the English photographer Richard Schofield spent 12 days travelling around Lithuania visiting and photographing the country’s 100 or so remaining former synagogues in a small act of personal remembrance as the nation approached the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of its independence. Fourteen months later, the illustrated (and completely free!) e-book he’s written about the journey has finally been published. Mr Schofield took a couple of questions from The Baltic Times about the trip and the equally unusual book that it inspired.
