Two summers ago the English photographer Richard Schofield spent 12 days travelling around Lithuania visiting and photographing the country’s 100 or so remaining former synagogues in a small act of personal remembrance as the nation approached the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of its independence. Fourteen months later, the illustrated (and completely free!) e-book he’s written about the journey has finally been published.
