TALLINN - The average price of electricity in the Estonian price area of the Nord Pool power exchange will fall by 10.5 percent on Tuesday compared to Monday, but will remain at a very high level, costing an average of €215.94 per megawatt-hour.
On Monday, the average price was €241.25.
The price will peak earlier than usual on Tuesday, between 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m., when it will rise to €344.29. The cheapest time for electricity consumption will be shortly after midnight, between 12:45 a.m. and 1 a.m., when the price drops to €101.58. Notably, the price will remain above €100 per megawatt-hour throughout the entire day.
The price in Latvia and Lithuania will be identical to that in Estonia. In Finland, electricity will be marginally cheaper, with an average price of €215.82 per megawatt-hour.
