RIGA – The cosmetics plant of insolvent Dzintars owned by Estonian businessman Oleg Ossinovski's Skinest Group will in the future work under the name of H.A.Brieger, the company's representatives reported.

The changes have been registered in the Enterprise Registers on January 8.

Meanwhile, Dzintars cosmetics brand will again be sold in stores in March, if the COVID-19 outbreak does not affect the company's operations.

H.A.Brieger head and co-owner Anastasija Udalova said that historically, the Dzintars cosmetics plant was established as a soap and perfumery plant by Heinrich Adolf Brieger in 1849, which later became one of the largest cosmetics producers in Latvia.

"By acquiring the plant, our goal is to return the approach of Brieger -- to develop products gradually, carefully and with consideration. We will start with the already popular Dzintars products, gradually developing new product lines and new brands," she said.

H.A.Brieger currently employs almost 40 people.

Dzintars Production was registered in 2006, while its name until October 2020 was Instruments. On January the company was renamed to H.A.Brieger. The company's share capital is EUR 284,500.

The company's owners are Daugavpils Lokomotivju Remonta Rupnica in the extent of 67 percent with Estonian millionaire Oleg Ossinovski as its beneficial owner, and Asko R in the extent of 33 percent, belonging to Anastasija Udalova.

In November 2019, the Riga Pardaugava City Court ruled joint-stock cosmetics producer Dzintars insolvent.
