Askend LLC is the company's first permanent unit outside Estonia. This move marks a new phase in Askend's development – the goal is not merely to execute a single international project, but to build a strong foundation for long-term growth in the Middle East.
"Establishing a subsidiary is a milestone for Askend. We have spent years developing complex, high-impact information systems for the Estonian public sector, and now we can apply that experience in the international markets. Our goal is not a one-off project, but a long-term presence and partnership in the Middle East region," said Mehis Sihvart, CEO of Askend.
According to Sihvart, entering a new market confirms that the knowledge and expertise gained from building Estonia's digital state is valued beyond Europe. "International markets are no longer looking just for developers, but for partners who can deliver end-to-end solutions and manage complex digital transformations from start to finish. That is exactly the value we aim to bring with our team," added Sihvart.
Oman represents Askend's first step in a broader international growth strategy. The company aims to strengthen its position in the Gulf region and bring the knowledge and experience gained from building Estonia's digital state to other countries where demand for comprehensive digital transformation is growing.
