TALLINN – The City of Tallinn, the Seoul Business Agency, and Startup Estonia have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at fostering collaboration between Estonian and South Korean startups and facilitating market entry in both directions.

The agreement focuses on supporting promising Korean startups in entering the Estonian and broader European markets. It also establishes a platform for the exchange of contacts and knowledge between the startup ecosystems of Tallinn and Seoul. As part of the program, support will be provided to companies wishing to test their innovative solutions in Estonia, including through the Test in Tallinn initiative, which enables testing solutions in the urban environment of Tallinn.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of Tallinn by Deputy Mayor for Innovation Margot Roose, on behalf of Korea by Seoul Business Agency CEO Hyun Woo Kim, and on behalf of Estonia by Startup Estonia representative Sigrid Harjo.

As part of the new cooperation platform, the first visit of Korean companies to Tallinn will take place on Sept. 16-18, featuring business idea presentations, networking events, and visits to Test in Tallinn pilot project locations.
