MADRID - Spanish authorities on January 18 intercepted and seized a cargo ship off Western Sahara coast on suspicion of drug trafficking, Fleetmon.com portal reported.
General cargo ship Blume travels under the Togo flag and was taken to Santa Cruz de Tenerife on January 19. The ship was bound for Riga.
After an intensive search, three tons of cocaine were discovered on the ship. All 15 crew members were detained.
Blume left Santos Brazil port on December 21 and was bound to arrive in Riga on February 15.
