Caljan doubles production volumes and expands team in Liepaja

  • 2025-11-25

Driven by rising global demand for modern cargo-handling technology and continued steady growth in the e-commerce sector, Caljan, a manufacturer of conveyors and automation solutions, has doubled its production volumes in 2025. To support this growth, the company is expanding its team in Liepaja and hiring specialists across production, engineering, and quality assurance.

This market dynamic naturally increases demand for Caljan products. Both new customers and long-term strategic partners are increasingly investing in Caljan solutions – from parcel carriers and postal operators to warehouse and retail logistics companies. Growth is visible in both Europe and the United States, where the market has rebounded after months of tariff uncertainty and is growing again.

The Liepaja facility is Caljan Group's largest production and engineering centre globally, providing a full product lifecycle under one roof. The process begins with engineering design, detailed technical drawings and schematics for each custom-built machine, followed by metalworking, welding, assembly, testing, and system integration for customer operations. Nearly 100 new positions have been created this year, and currently, 29% more employees work in Liepaja than in January.

“Every week we manufacture twice as many telescopic conveyors as we did at the beginning of the year. We maintain this pace with one main principle in mind – preserving reliability, safety, and durability in every machine. And this can only be ensured by a team that works with confidence and professional precision. Their work has strengthened Caljan`s position as a global market leader, delivering long-lasting products to our customers worldwide,” says Gatis Dradeika, General Manager at Caljan Latvia.

Open positions at Caljan in Liepaja

Responding to the sharp increase in orders, Caljan is opening several new roles and welcoming candidates to join its production, engineering, and quality teams. The company is hiring electricians, assembly technicians, welders, painters, and warehouse staff. Vacancies are also available for mechanical engineers, quality engineers, and quality managers. In total, approximately 30 open positions are currently available in Liepaja.

“Over the coming years, the e-commerce market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of around 6%. This means today’s activity is not a temporary spike — we see workload growth as a stable part of long-term industry development,” adds Gatis Dradeika.

Caljan offers employees a modern, safe, and clean working environment, competitive and fair compensation, free daily lunch, health and accident insurance, and additional benefits.
