Blugers scores a goal; Sabres win eighth match in a row

FLORIDA - Latvian national hockey team forward Teodors Blugers scored a goal in an NHL match on Tuesday, while Zemgus Girgensons' Buffalo Sabres won an eighth match in a row.

Blugers' Pittsburgh Penguins lost to Florida Panthers 2:4 (0:0, 1:2, 1:2). Blugers was on the ice for 15 minutes, scoring the first goal for the Penguins to make the score 1:1.

In the meantime, the Sabres beat San Jose Sharks 4:3 (0:2, 2:0, 1:1, 1:0). Girgensons was on the ice for 11 minutes, taking no shots on goal.

At the moment, the Sabres are in first place in the NHL standings with 17 points after ten matches, while the Penguins are in tenth place with 12 points.
