TALLINN - Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are about to meet in Vilnius on Tuesday, June 7.
The meeting will discuss defense and security issues, preparations for the NATO Madrid summit, where it will be necessary to set out concrete steps to strengthen the alliance's eastern flank. It will also focus on continued support for Ukraine and the political and economic isolation of the aggressor, spokespeople for the Estonian government said.
In addition, Kallas has a bilateral meeting scheduled with the prime minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Simonyte.
At 12:45 p.m., a joint press conference will be held in the White Hall of the presidential palace in Vilnius, which can be watched live on the Lithuanian president's Twitter account.
