VILNIUS - Hanner founder and chairman Arvydas Avulis, Norfa founder and owner Dainius Dundulis, and Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists President Vidmantas Janulevicius are considered Lithuania’s most influential business figures, according to a poll published by the Delfi news portal on Wednesday.
Swedbank economist Nerijus Maciulis, Eika owner Robertas Dargis, Teltonika IoT Group President Arvydas Paukstys and Northway Biotech Chairman Vladas Algirdas Bumelis follow in the combined ranking based on public and elite surveys.
Nord Security co-founder Tomas Okmanas ranks eighth in the combined rating, Kilo Health co-founder Tadas Burgaila is ninth, and Lithuanian Business Confederation Vice-President and Orion Securities Head of Investment Marius Dubnikovas is tenth.
The public opinion poll was conducted on July 18-25 by market and public opinion research company Spinter tyrimai. A total of 1,017 respondents aged 18 to 75 were interviewed nationwide.
In the combined public and elite ranking, first-placed Avulis received 51.6 percent of the vote, Dundulis received 33.1 percent, and Janulevicius secured 20.6 percent.
Avulis also took first place in the elite poll, followed by Dundulis, Janulevicius, Bumelis, Dargis, Maciulis, Okmanas and Paukstys. Ellex Valiunas Managing Partner and Investors' Forum Chairman Rolandas Valiunas came ninth, while Lithuanian Business Confederation President Andrius Romanovskis completed the top 10.
In the public ranking, Avulis remained in first place, Dundulis was second and Maciulis third.
They were followed by Paukstys and Burgaila, who was ranked 42nd by the public last year. Avia Solutions Group Chairman Gediminas Ziemelis ranked sixth, and Dubnikovas seventh. They were followed by businessman Dargis, main Vilniaus prekyba shareholder Nerijus Numa, and Okmanas, who rose from 27th place.
Delfi has been ranking Lithuania's most influential people for the 12th consecutive year.
