RIGA - As Russia continues to expand its aggression against Ukraine, Russia's special services may expand their activities against Latvia in some areas, the State Security Service told LETA.
Russia's anti-Latvia activities have long been a major threat to Latvia's national security. They are intensive and diverse, regardless of events in the international security environment, the service explained.
Russia is expanding both intelligence and a wide range of non-military activities in relation to Latvia, with the aim of spreading messages relevant to the Kremlin's interests to Latvian society, creating a favorable attitude towards Russia and promoting favorable decision-making and developments in Latvia, the service said.
