  • 2026-08-17

From 1–4 October 2026, the 17th international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius will bring together 70 art galleries from Austria, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

The 17th edition of ArtVilnius will focus on the contemporary art scenes of Vilnius, Warsaw and Vienna, fostering cross-regional exchange and supporting the international visibility of artistic practices.

The fair will once again take place at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo,  the country's leading exhibition venue, just 15 minutes from Vilnius city centre. Each year, ArtVilnius attracts between 18,000 and 23,000 visitors of all ages.

Gallery Selection

The gallery programme in Vienna is represented by Christine König Galerie, one of Austria’s most prominent contemporary art galleries, which has presented conceptual and contemporary art at international fairs for over four decades, and by Galerie Sturm & Schober.

From Warsaw, LETO Gallery – a participant in the first edition of ArtVilnius – returns after nearly a decade, as does Le Guern Gallery. HOS Gallery and Fijewski Gallery, which represent contemporary Polish artists, both make their debut.

First-time participants also include Galerie 3AP (Düsseldorf), Galleri Lundberg-Sandhagen (Stockholm), Tur (Riga), and Galerija Vartai (Vilnius). Returning galleries include KOGO Gallery (Estonia), ISSP (Riga), Galerie Nivet-Carzon (Paris), Galleri NB (Viborg),  The Room gallery (Vilnius), OKAPI (Tallinn).  The Vilnius Academy of Arts will present six of its galleries, and galleries from Utena, Molėtai, Trakai, Ukmergė, Šiauliai, and Panevėžys will represent the Lithuanian regions.

The founder of ArtVilnius – the Lithuanian Art Gallerists’ Association – celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It founded ArtVilnius seventeen years ago, and ArtVilnius has since grown into the largest international contemporary art fair in the Baltic States. Many of the association’s member galleries are taking part in the fair this year, among them are DRIFTS, The Rooster Gallery, Terra Recognita, Meno Niša (all Vilnius), Baroti Gallery from Klaipėda and others.
