RIGA – The U.S. Embassy in Riga is pleased to announce three concerts by the a capella group “The House Jacks” in Latvia. The concerts celebrate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States and Latvia.
The House Jacks will perform on September 17 at 6:00 pm at the Krustpils Culture center in Jēkabpils, on September 18 at 4:pm at the Daugavpils municipal institution "Vienības nams" in Daugavpils and on September 20 at 7:00 pm in Dobele at the Dobele Culture center. All concerts are free of charge.
Since 1991, The House Jacks have redefined a capella music, performing more than 3,000 shows all over the world, including at Carnegie Hall and as the sound for “The Sing-Off,” the hit a capella competition show on NBC-TV. They have shared the stage with such iconic artists as Ray Charles, LL Cool J, and James Brown. Songwriter’s Monthly proclaimed: “Prepare to be blown away! This is some of the best music around, period!”
