Ambassador Troksa submits his letter of credence to Tajikistani president

RIGA - In an official ceremony in Dushanbe today, Latvian Ambassador Reinis Troksa submitted his letter of credence to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Foreign Ministry told LETA.

During his accreditation visit to Tajikistan, Troksa met with Tajikistani Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Muzaffar Husseinzoda and Sohibnazar Gayratsho, Director of the Tajikistani Foreign Ministry's Department of European and American Countries, for a discussion on current bilateral relations issues.

A meeting with First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Solehzoda Ashurboy addressed the opportunities for making use of potential for business cooperation between the two countries, including in the sectors of clean technologies, agriculture and manufacturing, as well as preparations for the next session of the Latvia-Tajikistan Joint Committee for Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

Ambassador Troksa has been residing in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, since September 2021. In his present posting, he succeeds Mihails Popokovs.
